GK1: The Modding Scene

• No official mod toolkit was ever released for GK1 — everything is community-made

GK2: The Honest Status

• No mod support has been announced for GK2 as of launch day, September 22, 2026
• The engine question matters here — GK2’s 3D rebuild is officially unannounced, which makes the modding ceiling unknown (see engine)
• Lazy Bear has neither promised nor ruled out mod tools; the GK1 pattern (a scene without official support) is the most likely baseline

Installing GK1 Mods Safely

2. Read the mod’s requirements — many GK1 mods target specific game versions
3. Back up your save before any install; GK1 saves are local files
