Graveyard Keeper 2 Zombies & Automation

Zombies are how a graveyard keeper stops doing chores. GK2 doubles down on them — underground factories, per-zombie skill progression, and a new corruption system where red skulls cap what a worker can ever learn. Here is the whole automation loop.

What GK2 Changes About Zombies

Skull Math: What Efficiency You Get

White skullsZombie efficiencyNotes
1640%Realistic ceiling without DLC-tier organ work
2050%Achievable with clean organs + injections
2665%Maximum — every white skull is worth +2.5%
Red skulls did not reduce zombie efficiency in GK1; in GK2 they cap skill growth instead
The 16 / 20 / 26 ladder is GK1-verified and the +2.5%-per-skull rule carried it. GK2 adds the perk cap on top — we re-verify the exact numbers at launch.

Creating a Zombie

  1. Unlock the Second Chance technology in the Anatomy & Alchemy tech tree
  2. Build the Resurrection Table in the Morgue
  3. Bring a fresh body at 90%+ quality — quality decays, so embalm or refrigerate anything you plan to raise
  4. Bring 1 Zombie Juice (in your inventory or a mortuary rack)
  5. Pay 10 Faith and select Resurrect
  6. Carry the zombie to a workstation and place it to assign the job

Zombie Juice

Zombie Juice is a Workbench I craft: 1 Health Powder + 1 Blood. Health Powder is ground from crop waste (pumpkin or cabbage) in the Alchemy Mill; Blood comes off a corpse at the autopsy table before burial. Vendors do not sell it. In GK1 there were three free doses in a cabinet next to Gunter — worth checking in GK2 too.
